Alternative

The Kitly alternative built in the UK

People look for a Kitly alternative for ordinary reasons: a job it does not cover, a price that moved, or a product that grew in a direction they did not. Some of it is what public reviewers report, which is quoted with its source on the comparison page. This page is the honest version for UK creators: what changes on Herd, what you give up, and how the move actually goes.

A media kit and collaboration tracker for creators, with a separate product, Kitly Business, for agencies managing a roster. For a lot of people that is enough, and if it is enough for you there is no reason to move.

Herd is a UK product with three sides in one account. Creators run content, deals, contracts and invoices. Brands run campaigns, review content and pay creator invoices by card. Agencies run a roster with commission splits and white-label client portals. Herd costs from £99/month for creators, billed in pounds. That breadth is the whole trade: Herd covers more of the week, and in a few places it covers it less thoroughly than Kitly does.

The rest of this page is the practical version: what lands in the same account when you switch, what you give up by leaving Kitly, what it costs in pounds, and the order to do the move in. There is no importer, so it is manual work, and that belongs above the pricing table rather than under it.

What changes when you switch

Each line below is something we could not find in Kitly's published feature list when we checked on 21 September 2026, or a difference in how the two are priced. On Herd they are part of the same account, which is the practical difference a switch makes.

  • Not in Kitly

No content calendar and no publishing to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or X.

  • Not in Kitly

No Gmail or Outlook inbox and no video meetings.

  • Not in Kitly

No contracts with e-signature and no proposals with an accept or decline.

  • Not in Kitly

    No video editor.

  • Different on Herd

Kitly Business does not process payments, so commission and payouts happen elsewhere.

  • Not in Kitly

No brand side, so a campaign invitation cannot go out and come back on the same record.

In practice that means one composer posting to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X, an invoice that carries a card pay link and settles into your own bank through Stripe, and a contract drawn from the deal and signed in the browser. Herd does not publish to LinkedIn or Pinterest and has no link-in-bio page, so a switch is rarely a clean swap.

What you would give up

A switch costs you something. These are Kitly's advantages, not ours, and any one of them can be a good reason to stay where you are.

  • Audited first-party platform data in the media kit, pulled through API connections rather than typed in.
  • A mobile-first app, where Herd is a desktop-first web product.
  • Kitly Business reports more than 17,000 managed creators, according to Influencer Marketing Hub, with an established base of Australian and UK agencies.
  • Far cheaper for a creator who only needs a media kit: $19 a month against £99.

Moving over

There is no importer. Herd cannot read a Kitly export, and we would rather say that plainly than bury it. Moving is manual, for most people an afternoon rather than a fortnight, and this is the order that leaves the fewest gaps.

  1. Rebuild the media kit and rate card

Rebuild the media kit in Herd and reconnect your social accounts so the numbers refresh.

  2. Export what you can

Export your collab history from Kitly and re-enter the live ones as deals. Closed work does not need to move.

  3. Set the commission rate

Agencies: re-enter the roster in Herd Creators, then set your default commission rate before the first routed invoice.

  4. Connect Stripe

Connect Stripe in Herd. Kitly Business payments are handled elsewhere, so there is nothing to port.

  5. Keep what still works

Keep Kitly running until your next reporting cycle closes if brands are expecting its report format.

Invoices and money

The invoice, the pay link and the payout in one place

An invoice in Herd is attached to the deal it came from and carries a card pay link, so the brand can settle it without a bank transfer form. What it is not is a general accounting package: Herd does not replace your accountant, and it does not track billable hours.

  • Send real invoices with a card pay link from Starter upwards.
  • On Pro, Stripe Connect settles the money into your own bank rather than a platform wallet.
  • Expenses, cashflow and a tax view sit beside the invoices in Financials.
