General
What Herd is, who it is for, and the things that apply whichever side of a deal you are on.
- Herd is one workspace for the three sides of the creator economy. Creators run their content, deals, paperwork and money in it. Brands run campaigns in it. Agencies run a roster in it. When two of those sides are both on Herd, they are looking at the same deal rather than emailing about it.
- Creators who earn from brand work, brands who run creator campaigns, and talent agencies who represent creators. There is a plan for each. A creator can use Herd on their own without a brand or agency being involved.
- Creators pay nothing on Free, £99 a month on Starter or £299 a month on Pro. Brands pay £999 a month and agencies pay £1,999 a month. Annual billing saves 17% on creator and Brand plans and 20% on the Agency plan. Prices are in GBP with VAT added where applicable.
- Yes, for creators. The Free plan gives you the content calendar, drafts, one draft deal, an invoice preview, the community and one watermarked video export a month. Sending a real invoice or activating a deal starts on Starter at £99 a month.
- No. Creators have a Free plan they can use for as long as they like. Brands and agencies can book a live demo with our team, then subscribe when they are ready. Every paid plan has a 14-day cooling-off period from the date you subscribe.
- Instagram Business accounts, Facebook Pages, TikTok and X. Each connects through the network’s own login. LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads, Snapchat and Twitch are not live yet, so we do not list them as if they were.
- It posts. You write the post once, pick the networks and set a time, and a scheduled job on the server publishes it. Your laptop does not need to be open and there is no reminder to copy and paste anything.
- Yes. Herd UK Ltd is registered in England and Wales, prices in pounds, and handles data under UK GDPR. Contracts and terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
- In two narrow places: some writing assistance in the content tools, and extracting action items from a meeting transcript. Creator scoring for brand search is a set of rules based on engagement, safety and profile completeness, not a model, and we do not describe it as AI matching.
- Not for everything. You can email anyone from the Herd inbox, and a guest can join a video meeting from a link with no account. Campaign invitations, proposals and contracts do need the other party to have a Herd account, because they respond inside their own.
- Yes, from your settings. There is a 14-day cooling-off period on paid plans, and annual plans have a pro-rata option within 90 days. See the refund policy for the detail.
For creators
Invoices, the inbox, the media kit and where the money goes, answered for a creator running their own business.
- No. The Free plan lets you build and preview an invoice, but sending one with a Stripe pay link starts on Starter at £99 a month. From Starter, your client pays by card and Stripe pays the money out to your own bank account.
- You send an invoice with a Stripe pay link and the brand pays it by card. The money goes into your own Stripe account and out to your own bank. Herd never holds your money and takes no percentage of an invoice payment.
- No. The platform fee on a brand-to-creator invoice payment is 0%. The only percentage Herd takes is 5% on a digital product sale, plus a small fee on membership payments. Stripe charges its own processing fee on top, as it would anywhere.
- Yes, from Starter upwards. You connect your real Gmail or Outlook account and read, reply, compose and attach files inside Herd. It is your mailbox, not a copy, so replies land where they always have.
- At herduk.co.uk/yourname, once you claim a username and publish it. The follower and engagement figures come from the social accounts you have connected, so the page is current without you re-exporting a PDF. Publishing is a deliberate step, so nothing goes public by accident.
- Yes, along with Instagram and Facebook. Starter includes two connected accounts and Pro is unlimited. The Free plan has no social integrations, so publishing starts on Starter.
- Yes. Contracts with e-signature are on Pro at £299 a month, along with proposals, expenses, digital products, memberships and the Payments page. Starter covers deals, invoices your clients pay by card through Stripe, the inbox, meetings, the media kit and the rate card.
- Starter is £99 a month and gives you five active deals, invoices your clients pay by card through Stripe with payouts to your own bank, the Gmail or Outlook inbox, meetings, the media kit, the rate card and two social accounts. Pro is £299 and removes the limits, then adds contracts, proposals, expenses, digital products, memberships, the Payments page with your Stripe balance and payout history, the asset library and the tax and cashflow tabs.
- Yes, two ways. Connect your own Google Drive and it costs nothing, because the files stay in an account you already own. Or add Herd-managed storage at £9 a month for 250 GB, £19 for 1 TB or £59 for 5 TB.
- Yes. You trim, caption and grade in the browser, and the final file is rendered on the server so a long export does not tie up your machine. "Add to a Post" drops it straight into the composer. Free gives one watermarked export a month, Starter gives five without a watermark, and Pro is unlimited.
- Not through a matching service, and we do not promise leads. Brands on Herd can search creators and send campaign invitations, and any inbound approach lands in your opportunities queue where you can accept it, decline it or turn it into a deal.
- Yes, from Starter. Meetings run on Herd’s own servers with video, screen share and chat, and a brand contact joins from a link without needing an account. Gmail and Microsoft calendars sync in, so meetings booked elsewhere show up in the same list.
For brands
Campaigns, creator search, approvals, contracts and paying an invoice.
- £999 a month, or £9,950 a year which is 17% less. It is one flat plan covering 25 active campaigns, 10 team seats, 500 saved creators and 100 seeding products, with everything else unlimited. Prices are in GBP with VAT added where applicable.
- No. You can book a live demo with our team to see the Brand plan working before you pay, or sign up and subscribe straight away. Paid plans have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date you subscribe.
- For a campaign invitation, a proposal or a contract, yes, because they respond inside their own account. You can still email any creator from the Herd inbox and hold a video meeting with them as a guest on a link. Creators can join Herd free.
- Find Creators searches creators who are on Herd by niche, platform and budget per post, with a keyword search on top, and scores results on engagement, safety and how complete the profile is. It is a rule-based score, not a black box, and it does not analyse a creator’s audience demographics. Agencies get a separate external index of over 300 million public profiles.
- The creator sends an invoice with a Stripe pay link and you pay it by card. The money goes to the creator’s own Stripe account. Herd adds no percentage to a brand-to-creator invoice payment.
- Yes. Deliverables a creator submits arrive in Content Review against the campaign they belong to. You approve them or send them back with a comment the creator sees on their side, and the approval is recorded.
- Yes. Contracts can start from a template or be pre-filled from an existing deal, and the creator signs in the browser. Amendments are recorded against the original rather than replacing it.
- Ten seats are included at no extra cost per seat. You invite colleagues by email and give each one a role that decides what they can see and change. Every change is recorded in the activity log.
- Yes. You can find agencies on Herd and send a connection request, or accept one they send you. Once you are connected, deals, proposals and contracts can run through the agency rather than around it.
- CSV exports of your campaign data, plus an activity log of what changed and who changed it. Herd is deliberately modest here: it is built for getting the numbers out into the spreadsheet or deck your team already uses, not for replacing an analytics stack.
- Yes. Product Seeding records what went to which creator and the creator acknowledges receipt from their own account. The Brand plan covers 100 products.
- From your settings, at any time. There is a 14-day cooling-off period on paid plans, and annual plans have a pro-rata option within 90 days.
For agencies
Roster, discovery, commission, client portals and who on your team can see the money.
- £1,999 a month, or £19,190 a year which is 20% less. There are no numeric quotas: unlimited creators, deals, campaigns and team members. Prices are in GBP with VAT added where applicable.
- No. You can book a live demo with our team to see the Agency plan working before you pay, or sign up and subscribe straight away. Paid plans carry a 14-day cooling-off period from the date you subscribe.
- You set a default commission rate for the agency, and each routed deal shows the deal value, your commission and the creator payout. When the brand pays a routed invoice, Stripe Connect transfers your commission out of that payment. The whole ledger exports to CSV including transfer status.
- As many as you like. The Agency plan has no cap on creators, deals or campaigns, which is the main reason it is priced flat rather than per creator.
- Yes. The Discover tab searches an external index of more than 300 million public profiles, and you reveal contact details on the profiles you actually want rather than exporting in bulk. Outreach goes from your own connected mailbox, so replies come back to you.
- Not for you to manage their deals, contracts and invoices from the agency side. They do need an account if they want to run their own content, inbox, media kit and invoices, and if a brand wants to send them a proposal or contract directly.
- A white-label page you give a client on a token link, with their name, their contact and your accent colour. You choose which campaigns it shows. The client needs no account, and you can label and revoke each link individually.
- Yes. Raise the invoice from the deal it belongs to, the brand pays by card through a Stripe link, and your commission is split out of that payment instead of being chased afterwards.
- Yes. Financial controls are separate from the general roles, so a manager can run deals without seeing or approving payouts. Team members are invited by email and every change is recorded in the activity log.
- Yes. One campaign can cover multiple creators from your roster, with deliverables and deadlines tracked per creator. If the brand is on Herd, they see the same campaign from their side.
- Through a brand CRM and connection requests, not a marketplace. You can send a connection request to a brand already on Herd, and they accept or decline in their own account. Brands that are not on Herd can be invited by email.
- No, and we will not claim otherwise. What is real is scheduled publishing and automated reminders. There is no workflow engine that runs a sequence of actions for you.
